Prose & Poetry

welcome home, starling

you are safe now

 A Red Rose Once

A Red Rose Once

as I turn grey

nobody tells me how to bloom

again

even the sun

and the drops of fresh water

sent from another part of the world through rain

the garden I grew in

 shushed me

 time for new plants

 and colours

as you turn grey

I will be naked

since my petals are already falling

to be closer to your roots

let me bow lower

for I am approaching

closer to you

seeking comfort

sacrificing beauty

just to be intertwined

is my neck close enough

 to cuddle

 and be kissed?

I need to be weak

for you to become my shelter

a long walk

a long walk

A Real Dream

A Real Dream
