I woke up today
eyes speckled like a monarch wing
arms dovetail – lift up the clouds for
angels to recycle as wings.
her heart blooms an orchard
where I visit often.
she kisses Sol, rich and warm on her –
sidle to the field filled with dried out grass
feeble anxieties wash away in salty sweat
an aviary opens in the aether and They sing
an opening number —combust into sunbeam
I breathe. and I am home.
