Prose & Poetry

welcome home, starling

you are safe now

Not Forgotten

Not Forgotten

hey smoke-wreathed big-eyed city kid
i hope you blossom
tattoo a garden over your scars
grow not armored but soft
water yourself with summer fountains
gentle as grass
eat strange rich fruit with shining skin
and drink galaxy wine

hey concrete mermaid witchy girl
I hope your wounds close
like eyelashes in a kiss
dance down the starlight
paint rising dreams with raspberry papaya ink
map every tree
and scatter your kisses
like seeds of joy
