Dear –
I am sitting in a room surrounded by the things you love: books, plants, and flowers. The way the light falls through the glass reminds me of you: the soft afternoon light, patient and understanding, beautiful yet unaware of it.

Dear –
I really hope we’ll get to meet someday. It is early morning now in London, and I imagine you are getting ready for your internship. I often wish I was there with you – I want to get to know you in the morning. Mornings say a lot about people. It reminds me that there are a lot of things I do not know about you still.

Dear –
I once said in one of my poems that distance is a fiction invented by those who are lonely. In my nights, I look for you.

Dear –
We are two planets, distant civilizations waiting to touch for the first time, anticipating with bated breath for that moment of first contact. I once read that we – people – mend each other. Through the deep, dark, silent symphony of space – between us, in our heads, the one our blue planet floats in – loneliness in form of a landscape, if I may quote my own poetry once again, the assurance that you exist, that we exist at the same time, makes it bearable.

Dear –
You are everything I love about the world. You are love. You remind me that beautiful things exist and that we should always strive for the stars. The stars will always remind me of you, and when I look at the moon, I think of you.

Dear –
You have always been whole. You do not exist for me. I love you as I have never loved before. Remember: Paradise was in us all along. You are whom I forsake Heaven for. You are Heaven. You are all the gods.

Dear –
I love you for who you are. I am privileged to have known you. I am ever so privileged to know even such a small part of your life, to be part of it. Everything beautiful is temporary. But in the words of my favorite poet: “Time is temporary. We are eternal.”

Dear –
I loved you as Icarus loved the sun.
